On the way back from lunch today in a friend’s truck, we pulled next to an M3 with a nice-sounding exhaust. Friend (who’s been on my case about this for a while) said, “that’s the way your car should sound, Dave…”

Agreeing, I sent Mrs. addiction a note: [Friend] says I need to get an exhaust for my car.

And then, a few minutes later...

Me (to friend): Mrs. addiction says if you pay for it, I can get an exhaust.

Friend: So sad......you’re never getting exhaust

Me: I’m going to have to ask for one for my anniversary present.

Me: Hold the phone! I wrote “did you buy me an anniversary present yet?” and she wrote:

No. Happy Anniversary. And depending on how expensive Happy Father’s Day too.

Friend: You’ve got to strike while the iron is hot Dave!!

Me: True statement! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (I’ve had this one picked out for some time now)

Friend: Which tips?

Me: chrome (and shares link below)

Friend: Nice.....make it happen

Me: Done. I owe you a beer!

Rejoice with me, OPPO.

Nicely done!

I’m slowly starting to pitch the idea of a new motorcycle to Mrs. Snuze.

Marriage is easy, you just have to know the rules of the game.

Word. She encouraged me to buy the car in the first place, not “settle” for something I’d enjoy less, and then was completely supportive when it came to me taking it to the track.

15 years next month!

It’s fairly ridiculous - love it!

Nothing wrong with that at all. Sometimes I miss the single life...

There’s not much to miss; this is why we spend money on cars :)

Kinja'd!!!1

Sometimes “not much” is exactly what I miss... Now there’s all these expectations, like wearing pants. And eating at a table, with a shirt on.

Also, I have a pantry with food in it, and save money now. It’s very strange, because I can’t help but think how many more car parts and motorcycles I could have.

WOW! Sounds good, is very affordable compared to other exhausts, & weight savings. X-pipe as well?

Thanks. Pairing the exhaust with my OEM x-pipe with primary cat delete and the BPM Sport Stage II tune.

You installing it yourself?

I cut off the primary cats myself, so I guess I should really do this, too...

Kind of want to take it somewhere to replace the clamps that came with the test pipes with welds though, so I may have them do that and install the cat-back while they’re at it.

We’ll see. I’ll get a quote and then decide.

What all have you done with your E39?
